Want To Become A Ham?

Interested in taking the plunge into Amateur Radio? One way to determine if Amateur Radio is for you, is to attend Nixa Amateur Radio Club meetings. The meetings are open to the public and are a wealth of information that include club business, Amateur Radio news, project updates, how-to's, etc. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month at 6:00 p.m. The meetings are at the Nixa Fire Department Community Room, 711 N Main St., Nixa, Missouri. Meeting dates and times may vary depending on holidays or Amateur Radio events. (Click here for the meeting schedule)

Below are some useful links. The first set of links contain very helpful information as well as the exam question/answer pools. One recommendation is to get the question pools either from a website or by purchasing a book. Some popular books are Now You're Talking published by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) and the series of books by Gordon West, including Technician Class Element 2 FCC License Preparation.
