Meeting Minutes

July 26, 2008

  1. Call to order

Chris Cochran, KBØWZC called to order the regular meeting of the Nixa Amateur Radio Club at 18:05 on July 26, 2008 in Nixa Fire Station.

  1. Roll call

Jeff Kerr, KCØVGC conducted a roll call. The following persons were present:

  1. Approval of minutes from last meeting

Jeff Kerr, KCØVGC filed the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were approved as posted on the club website.

  1. Open issues

    1. Fred Bell, NØLU asked for a progress report on the club HF station. The next order of business is to install the feed line for the antenans. It was decided that Jeff Kerr, KCØVGC and James Adkins, KBØNHX would schedule a trip to the fire station to determine what construction (drilling) has to be done for the feedline and present it to the Fire Station Chief for approval prior to the next club meeting.

New business

  1. VE Testing session: 9 persons tested. All passed.

  2. Treasurer’s Report (need report from treasurer)

  3. Jeff Kerr, KCØVGC presented the totals from Field Day. Fred Bell, NØLU suggested running 4A next year as we had operators as at times we had CW operators with no where to operate.
  4. The Field Day 2008 video was shown by Jeff Morrissey, KBØWVT
  5. James Adkins, KBØNHX had a presentation on how to attach N connectors to coax.

Chris Cochran, KBØWZC adjourned the meeting at 19:10.
