Meeting Minutes

February 13, 2010

Call to order
Chris Cochran, KBØWZC called to order the regular meeting of the Nixa Amateur Radio Club at 18:15 on February 13, 2010 at the Nixa Fire Station.

Roll call

Approval of minutes from last meeting
Jeff Kerr, KCØVGC filed the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were approved as posted on the club website.

News and Announcements
  1. Chris Cochran KB0WZC read the Treasurer's Report
  2. Chris Cochran KB0WZC announced that it was still possible to RSVP for the Nixa Chamber of Commerce banquet. The cost is $15.
  3. Brian Umbenhower K0OLD announced that it would be possible for the club to attend classes for emergency first aid and CPR for those wishing to be certified, and that these classes would be available at a reduced rate of $20 per class.
  4. James Adkins KB0NHX announced that the Nixa Bike Ride is coming up May 21st. The routes and rest stops are the same as last year. We will need approximately 22 volunteers for the event.
  5. David Beckler N0SAP announced that the W0S Titanic Special Event Station will be held April 10th and 11th at the Titanic Museum in Branson, MO.
  6. James Adkins KB0NHX announced that Nixa Sucker Days will be the 2nd Saturday in May this year which coincides with the club's monthly meeting.
  7. Alan DuBrul K0AWD annouced that Bob DuBrulWB0RJR SK estate would be up for sale at the Mount Vernon Hamfest on April 3rd.

Treasurer's Report
The Treasurer's Report was given and will be printed in the next club newsletter.

The remainder of the meeting was given over to Jeff Kerr KC0VGC for a presentation on basic setup and operation of the popular Ham Radio Deluxe software package.

Chris Cochran, KBØWZC adjourned the meeting at 19:25.
