Call to Order
James Adkins, KB0NHX, called the regular meeting of the Nixa Amateur Radio Club to order at 1815 hours on April 9th, 2011 at the Nixa fire station on South Nicholas road in Nixa Missouri.

Treasure report
Jeff Kerr KC0VGC read the treasurer's report as follows:

VE Testing
Kent Doucey, N0IRM reported we had three individuals test this afternoon. One upgraded to General and one passed the Technician Exam.
News and Announcements
We currently have six VEs on our VE roster. We would like to have more. If anyone is interested in becoming a VE, please contact James, KB0NHX.
Next month’s meeting will feature a presentation on grounding by John Rayfield, Sr.
The September meeting and picnic the club will be officially recognized by the ARRL as a Special Service Club. ARRL Missoui Section Manager, Dale Bagley, K0KY and Affiliated Club Coordinator, Keith Haye, WE0G will be in attendance to make the presentation to the Club.
The October meeting will feature a presentation by the KC Satellite Group.
Mark Schiefelbein was the winner of the Field Day raffle. $62 was raised.
A Field Day overview was given by Jeff Kerr, KC0VGC. Jeff commented that a good event is an event where everyone participating has a good time doing so, and this year’s Field Day was a perfect example of this.
James Adkins presented information on the W0DXCC Kansas City DX Club Convention. This looks to be a very large event with great door prizes and big-name sponsors. The event is July 22nd and 23rd. For more information visit http://www.w0dxcc.com/.
Technical Committee Update:
James Adkins, KB0NHX gave the following Technical Committee update:
Interference on the 220 and 440 repeaters has been identified and is being pursed with the responsible parties.
We are waiting for a quote to install the 6m receiver for the East TRS tower site. We should have this within the next couple of weeks.
EchoLink is up and working well once again on the 145.270 repeater. The power for the interface was re-routed through our remote power reset switch so that the device can be reset remotely.
