Technical Committee Update
Jeff Kerr, KC0VGC gave the following technical committee update:

Mercury Towers has scheduled the installation of the 147.015 repeater antenna for next week.  As as as it is on the air we will notify everyone.  It will be linked to the 442.150 repeater full-time.  This is the second of the three repeater system that was announced in January of this year.  The final repeater in the system is the 145.390.  We are still waiting for an installation date for that repeater.

News and Announcements
Jeff Kerr, KC0VGC gave the following news and announcements:

Due to multiple unforeseen scheduling conflicts, we had to cancel last month's meeting.

The Tour de Bass is coming up Saturday October 13th.  The bike ride requires 26 volunteers.  As of now we have 8 volunteers signed up.  This will be a great chance to test out your portable operation.  We plan to use the new 147.015 repeater for the race.

Our club has been invited  to participate 2013 ARRL Midwest Division Convention.  This is a little over a year away.  This should be considered a honor for the club.  Kent Doucey, N0IRM, is the club’s representative for this event.  Look for more details to come.

We are looking for ideas for future club meeting presentations and teaching sessions.  We would like someone to chair this endeavor for a one year term.  If you have ideas or thoughts around this, have interests you are willing to share, please contact the club officers at [email protected]

The balance of the meeting time was spend in a question and answer session on all that was presented in the meeting.  Along with answering questions by visitors about ham radio.
