The Nixa Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (K0NXA) will be having its annual fall ham radio picnic on Saturday, September 14th at 5:00 p.m. at the original Nixa City Park on Park Dr (by the water tower).
The club is providing hamburgers & hot dogs, paper plates & plastic silverware and drinks.
We need someone to bring a grill to cook the hamburgers & hot dogs as well as a volunteer to do the cooking :-)
For those that are coming to the picnic, please bring a side or dessert to the picnic and your lawn chairs. You can RSVP to the picnic by e-mailing [email protected] so we know how many hot dogs and hamburgers to purchase. Family members are welcome, as are other hams in the community that aren't club members, and folks that are interested in becoming hams that want to meet local ham operators.
To get to the park, travel on US Hwy 160 (aka S Campbell in Springfield) south to Nixa to the traffic light at Wasson Rd by the Price Cutter. Turn and travel East on Wasson Rd to the Fort Ave, turn left and travel north to Park Dr and turn left, pavilion on the left.
Hope to see you all there - and please invite your ham friends that aren't club members, or anyone that is not a ham that might be interested in getting their license!
