The next meeting of the Nixa Amateur Radio Club will be Saturday September 13th at 6 p.m., and will be held at the Nixa Rotary Park pavilion. This month's meeting is the annual club picnic revived from year's past! The picnic will start at 6:00 p.m. with the club providing the burgers & dogs. We ask members to bring drinks, sides or a desert. There will be a sign up sheet sent out in the next few days for folks to e-mail James Adkins with what they want to bring.
On September 6 & 7, the SMLRS repeater system will be reserved from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day for the MS-150 bike ride. Please refrain from using any of the SMLRS repeaters - the 147.015 or 147.225 in Springfield, the 442.150 in Crane, the 145.390 in Granby, the 145.450 in Nevada and the 444.975 in Stockton Lake. All other club repeaters will be available for use during that time.
On October 5th, we will be providing communications for the Tour de Bass bicycle ride. We are still looking for a couple of SAG riders, sweeps for the 42 mile and 70 mile rides, and rest stop volunteers. Contact James Adkins at [email protected] to volunteer.
On November 8 from 8:00am to 2:00pm the Nixa Amateur Radio Club NARC Fest will be held at the Nixa Event Center. Admission will be $5.00 at the door. A limited number of vendor tables are available at $4.00 each. For more information or to reserve a table visit the smlrs.info website.
