Forums:
Bob Heil has informed us that a scheduling conflict has come up that will make it difficult for him to make connections back to Nixa in time for his forum presentation. We will miss him. Some of the new forums we have added are:
Building a Communications Trailer – The LESSONS we Learned
James Adkins will explain how the Nixa ARC Communications Trailer was initially designed and how things changed as the project progressed. He will help us understand how he and his team dealt with the challenges of building a mobile radio station with adequate space, power, connections, noise suppression, radios, antennas and Murphy-Proof alternatives. There’s a lot to learn from their experience that you can include in design of your own mobile station or your home operating position.
ALSO, there will be a presentation about the ARRL’s new National Parks on the Air (NPOTA) program for 2016. There are lot of opportunities for making contacts and doing your own field day type operations from locations managed by the National Parks System. There are over 400 locations available. We’ll talk about the awards, the rules and locations nearby the Ozarks. Apply what you hear about building the communications trailer AND have a great time at some of the best places in America.
MARS Digital Road Show
The Digital Road Show is on the road again... at the Nixa Hamfest (NARCFEST) starting at NOON.
We Hope to see YOU at the NARCFEST!
