The February club meeting will be on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at the Nixa Fire Station at 711 N Main St. The February meeting will focus on getting folks on 6-meters. We'll be modifying a Kenwood TK-690 at the meeting for use on the ham band to show folks how they can get on 6m FM with 100-watts pretty inexpensively.
This would also be a great meeting to catch up with newly re-elected Treasurer Jeff Morrissey, KB0WVT and pay your dues for 2016. Individual dues remain at $12 with family dues at $18 (family members living in your house with you) payable by check to Nixa ARC or cash. Have you dreamed of joining the glamorous world of net control? We are still looking for volunteers to do the NARC Thursday night net in 2016. All you'd have to do is devote 30 minutes, one night a month, to run the Nixa ARC club check-in net on Thursday nights from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. We currently have 4 slots filled, and need 1 more and maybe an alternate. If you are not sure and want to try it out, the second Thursday is Guest / Mystery Net control day. You don't even have to write the announcements. If you have questions, feel free to call or email James Adkins and he can fill you in on the details.
