Field Day is this weekend June 25-26!
We will be operating at High Pointe Elementary School, 900 N Cheyenne Road, Nixa, MO 65714 (Highway 65-to-CC-to-Cheyenne Road).
This year we will be using NARC/SMLRS Communications Trailer.
Setup will begin about 7am on Saturday, until about Noon, and operations will begin at 1pm. On Sunday, operations end at 1 pm and tear down will go from 1-3pm.
Field Day is also a great time to check out Amateur Radio and operate on different HF bands all while honing your contesting skills.
Field Day for hams is the most important weekend of the year for learning and practicing good operating skills, plus having lots of fun.
You can simply turn-on your own rig and listen to other hams making points, or stay up all 24 hours operating the contest yourself!
Contact James Adkins, KBØNHX at [email protected] if you'd like to reserve your spot, or just come on down and have fun.
The objective of Field Day, for any non-amateur radio operators who might be monitoring this net is to work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 60, 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. Field Day is open to all amateurs in the areas covered by the ARRL/RAC Field Organizations and countries within IARU Region 2. It is an annual event falling on the last weekend of June.
We hope to make this a great and fun Field Day for all involved and would like to see you there.
