Wanted to remind you of our club meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Nixa Fire Station, located at 711 N Main St in Nixa.
We've got some updates for you on the 146.775 repeater as well as some upcoming club events that we hope you want to participate - it's a great chance to use your hobby to give back to the community and have fun at the same time.
Also - Joye McElwee, N0OCP, will be giving a great presentation tonight on programming your Baofeng / Pofung series of Chinese portable radios. He will have handouts with some quick tips on programming, and shed some light on features and options that you may want to use. This presentation is for new and seasoned hams alike educating us on these new radios that seemingly hit the market with a new model weekly!
If you are looking to upgrade your license, or have a friend of family member that is interested in obtaining their ticket, Rob Huelga, W3LGA, and our VE team will be administering exams at 4:30 p.m. before the club meeting at the fire station.
