During the Thursday night net last week, I reported on the solar activity predictions for the coming weekend. The 20m band was open for CQ WW WPX around the clock to somewhere, 15m was also open somewhat, and some hams experienced sporadic E propagation on the 10m band. In summary, conditions for WPX were way better than recent history would have foretold. Unfortunately, lightning interrupted my schedule several times.
This weekend there are some contests specifically for hams in Europe, a few worldwide activities, one limited to 6m, and the Kentucky QSO party.
