Our next meeting will be Saturday, July 14th at 6:00 p.m. at the Nixa Fire Station at 711 N. Main. VE Testing will be held at 4:30 pm at the same location. The program for this month will be a presentation by James Adkins KB0NHX entitled, "You've got a repeater where?". The presentation will be an overview of the club repeaters, locations, some coverage maps and fun tidbits about their history. There will be a part 2 of this presentation at a later date where there will be an overview of some of the "cool stuff" the club repeaters can do.

HF Activity
The Space Weather Prediction Center forecasts the 10.7 cm flux will be 76, the A index 5 and the Kp index 2 which implies that HF propagation, while not wonderful, should not be disturbed this weekend.
The IARU HF World Championship, which incorporates WRTC 2018, is this weekend. This is a dual mode (CW and SSB) activity. ContestCalendar.com has links to information on the exchange, rules, and log submission method. You should also upload your log to the WRTC website.
Next weekend the HF RTTY North American QSO Party (NAQP) will be held Saturday, and the CQ WW VHF Contest on Saturday and Sunday. Both begin around mid-day Saturday local time. The Digital Modes Club is also hosting a RTTY contest that begins before and ends after the NAQP.
For more information, go to contestcalendar.com, open the 8 day calendar, and follow the rules links to the sponsors’ websites.
There have been quite a few reports about 6 meter band openings in the past few days – expect them to continue.
