Repeater donations

As some of you may have already heard, we are going to have to replace the antenna at the 147.015 repeater site in Springfield and the 146.655 site in Branson. Unfortunately, both of these were manufactured during a time where Commscope had a run of bad phasing harnesses.
The total cost for antennas and labor is just over $4800.00, and that’s considering that the labor to replace the antenna is at no charge at Branson.
We have sold $1200 worth of club equipment and have money from the hamfest we can use for part of the expenses.
With today being “Giving Tuesday”, we’re asking if you would consider making a gift to the Nixa ARC so we can get this work completed.
We are looking for only 25 amateurs willing to give $100 to get the project funded, or perhaps you own a business that would like to make a contribution. Since the club is a 501c3, any donation is 100% tax deductible and we can issue you a receipt for the donation.
I will be the first to donate - are there 24 others willing to join me? I use the club’s repeaters daily and get a lot of enjoyment out of them and I know they serve the public well for the Bike MS, Tour de Bass and other events as well as the weekly nets run by Region D ARES and others on the system.
You can make a donation to [email protected] as a “gift” or make a cash / check donation at the club meeting this Saturday OR go to our facebook page and donate through the link on facebook to get matching funds from facebook.
73 & thanks for supporting the SMLRS!
